All week there's been snow in the air yet none of it has settled, it's been a lot of years since we last had any decent snowfall here in the South of England
On the rare occasion it does decide to snow then disappointingly it quickly goes slushy, then just like that it's gone a few hours later
The last time we had any real snow here was way back in 2013 when we still had our beloved Badger Boo
We had so much fun and the snow was here for about a week to 10 days, the whole of the South of England completly ground to a halt, there just wasn't enough grit for the roads and a lot of people had absolutely no idea how to drive in icy conditions

Do you ever get any decent snow where you live ?

I just can't resist spoiling Boris whenever we go to the vets, last week he spotted this really cute soft Penguin, I just had to buy it for him as it was just too adorable not too and yes he is in the front footwell
On the days when Boris is feeling painful and if I can't lift him due to my own pain levels, Boris has to travel in the front footwell of the car with the airbag turned off, it's not ideal but Boris loves to travel there all curled up on his blanket where he can also nudge my hand for a stroke when we're stopped at the traffic lights, rather than me causing him more pain by struggling to lift him and doing it badly, we're currently in the process of saving up to buy Boris a ramp for easy access into the boot of the car

On a recent walk I just couldn't resist letting Boris off lead to play in a large muddy puddle, he had much fun bog snorkeling and leopard crawling through it before deciding to lay down to rest for a while
We're very lucky that it's mostly sand in this area, so no matter how mucky the boys get most of the mud just falls out of their coats whilst they're drying off after a quick dip in the pond at the end of our walk
It's the simple pleasures in life we let Boris enjoy because he's still having so much restricted exercise, otherwise life would be just so boring and not much fun for him, if there's one thing guaranteed to make Boris happy and bring him joy it's a muddy puddle and the muckier the better

It looks like you were enjoying that snow. It doesn't snow much where we live and we're glad about that. We wouldn't mind a white Christmas though. I'm glad you were having some fun times sweet Boris.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, a white Christmas would be lovely but alas we're too far south for that, our snow normally doesn't arrive until February/March time if it's going to arrive at all xxx
DeleteGood to see Boris having muddy puddle fun.
ReplyDeleteHere in the city of Aberdeen, right by the coast, we don't actually get that much snow, despite the northerly latitude. But just drive a few miles inland and to a sightly higher elevation and it's a whole different story!
Scotland certainly has some extremes of weather, he does love muddy puddles for sure lol x
DeleteYou both are so adorable ~ great photo ~
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Aww thank you so much xxx
DeleteYou are both very cute. I live in the Northeastern part of the US and we always get snow in the winter, but some years not too much.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, I guess snow is like most things, you want what you can't have xxx
