I'm a Yellow Dog

I'm out and about on very short walks on the lead now, I'm still not allowed to play with other pups, so I wear a yellow ribbon on my harness and lead to inform everypawdy I need some space since my surgery.

There are lots of different reasons why some dogs are Yellow Dogs.

The important thing to remember if you see a Yellow Dog is that the pup needs its space.
Please call your dog away or put him/her on the lead, it would be much appreciated.

Luckily for me it's a short term thing, in 9 weeks time when I'm all healed up, I'll be racing around and meeting up with my buddies again on the common.

  6. I is confused, Boris ... you don't looks like a yellow dogs. You is a blacks dogs with a yellows ribbons. I likes the message your yellow ribbons gives. I wish we hads that heres. Then when I is outs walking, the other dogs and peoples would leaves me alone so I can sniffs around and reads my doggy news papers. I is always amazed at how many peoples and dogs pass by my house while I am insides. They all leave messages that I have to address. Specially the dogs who leaves their scents as if to say this is their properties not mines ... well I just scents right overs thems because I owns my little worlds. So glads you are ups and outs and abouts. I know what it is likes to be on leash all the times. When our snow was too deeps to play in, I only gots to walks on leash. You will be happy's to knows that the snow is gones and I can plays Frisbees agains. (oh my, the snows is gones and I miss its) ... see how confusing lifes can bes? Stay wells Boris and a Barky hellos to Badger Boos.

  10. What a brilliant initiative. I don't think we have it here - and we need it.

  11. Boris looks rather indignant about his girly yellow ribbon. :D I think the ribbon idea is a really good one, unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately - it would depend) here the council supplies doggy doo bags and they are yellow and everyone ties the bag to their leash until it is needed for picking up after your dog. I think yellow ribbons would be mistaken for bags by those who don't know.

  13. I read about the yellow ribbon scheme on Lisa and Stella's blog and I think it is a fabulous idea and I hope all dog owners get to know about it and respect the dogs who, for what-ever reason, need some space. So glad you are out for short walks now and thank you for adding The Yellow Dog Scheme to #AnimalTales

  14. Ash the Dog says - The Yellow Ribbon scheme is so important for us Doggies and our forever families. It was my good friend Stella (form Lisa's Life) that told me about it. I made sure Mum told my lil' dude Lucas about it as he loves so much and thinks they're all friendly. Hope you recover soon Boris - Paw-5's!! #animaltales
